Why we exist

Charter, art. 1

Like other industries before it, technology relies on levers that take advantage of the people who use it. Almost all of them rest on the same thing: an information gap. The company knows the math, the buyer does not. With artificial intelligence, the line blurs further.

Waiting for everyone to catch up is not an acceptable answer. Email and online forms took decades to spread, and online fraud is still a common problem in 2026.

Reduce the information gap between those who provide technology and those who use it, and prove that a company can grow without taking advantage of that gap.

The second half of that sentence is the hardest. Denouncing a practice is not enough; we have to prove a viable company can do without it.

A value that costs nothing is not a value.

  • Informed choice

    People should know what we know.

    • The price calculation is shown at purchase, even when the plan is a poor deal for the buyer.
    • No AI output is shown without saying so and what it may get wrong.

  • Reversibility

    Leaving should be as simple as arriving.

    • Every product offers data export.
    • Cancelling takes no more steps than subscribing.

  • Restraint

    We do not build what nobody needs, and we measure what we consume.

    • No product starts before answering four questions: what problem, for whom, the alternatives and the consequences.
    • Our infrastructure and AI footprint is measured and published every year.

  • People before function

    The people who make novscale are not a resource.

    • Members are protected as much as anyone outside the company.
    • No product creates or promotes addictive dependency.

What we will not do

  1. Sell, rent or transfer users' data.

  2. Promote dangerous or addictive products.

  3. Use deceptive interfaces, however well they perform.

  4. Sell a subscription that profits from people forgetting it or not using it.

  5. Make exercising a right harder than the commitment that came before it.

How we work

This work is not done alone. novscale moves forward with specialists in each field it touches and with the organizations already established there, relying on whatever serves each situation: platforms, libraries, laws and standards.

novscale does not claim to hold the answer. It claims the question deserves to be asked in every product decision.

novscale stays independent in its direction. Some projects exist to generate revenue, reinvested in the mission.
